MDJ & Associates offers a specialist engineering consultancy service to private sector companies, groups and individuals on all aspects of planning, design and implementation of highway infrastructure for development schemes.

The service extends from initial traffic and highway advisory work on existing and new developments through to conceptual planning and feasibility studies including preparation of vehicular access and the associated highway improvement layouts for all types of development schemes.

Traffic and highway assessments are carried out to the local authority approval and ‘Traffic and Highway’ statements and ‘Transport Assessment’ (TA) reports are prepared in support of planning applications for existing and new development schemes. The firm is specialised in all the necessary negotiations with the highway and planning authorities on behalf of developers to achieve the necessary approvals within a short timescale.

A wide range of other commissions are undertaken including preparation of detailed design, contract and specification to achieve technical approvals and to satisfy legal agreements such as Section 106 (planning obligations), Section 38 (adoption), Section 184 (vehicular crossing) and Section 278 (contributions) for the highway works.

Other services include representing companies, groups and individuals at planning and road public inquires for the purpose of presenting expert evidence on all transportation matters.
